Drumfork Estate lies in the valley of the Blackwater halfway between Spittal of Glenshee and Bridge of Cally and consists of 750 acres of moorland, woodland, parks and policies.

The Mansion House was constructed in the late 1800's and was destroyed by fire in 1911 and rebuilt with some extensions. The lawns at the front of the house were used by Blackwater school for their annual races on sports day. The views from Drumfork are stunning.

The estate was bought in 2013 by Andrew and Patricia Simpson and had several cottages and outbuildings in a dilapidated state of repair which are now converted into luxury holiday. accommodation. The properties sleep from 2 to 8 guests. They all have super-king beds and most are ensuite. There is bio fuel heating in most of them using our own timber also wood burning stoves in the larger properties with a plentiful supply of logs. All have private hot tubs and are dog friendly with enclosed gardens or patios with plenty of walks to take your four legged friends.

Wildlife on Drumfork is plentiful, red squirrels and hedgehogs and a pine marten has been seen. There are pygmy goats with their own playpen. Roe deer wander freely round the estate. We also breed red deer and Aberdeen Angus cattle. The red deer can be hand fed with the help of our members of staff on site. You can wake up to the wild bird song and buzzards, kestrel and golden eagles can be seen swooping overhead. There is a-pond with trout where you can try your hand at fishing, there are also salmon and crayfish in the river.

Do come to Drumfork where a warm welcome awaits you.
