Based in the Cairngorms National Park, near Glenisla, we are a small estate with four spacious cottages which cater for everyone.

Our luxury holiday cottages are all 4 or 5 star rated and offer comfortable accommodation from where to explore the surrounding area.

Whether you are a hiker, biker, skier, golfer or a quiet book reader, there is something for everyone. There are many landmarks to visit, stunning views to admire, excellent walking and abundant wildlife to see.

Our cottages are fully equipped, and provide all that you need for a relaxing and enjoyable break in this beautiful countryside.

This 3-bedroom farmhouse has a large open-plan living/dining area and spacious country kitchen, making this an ideal place for family get-togethers.

To the rear, a large garden with private hot-tub, summer house, BBQ & wood-fired pizza oven are yours to enjoy.

The front porch leads into a large open plan area - at one end is an array of comfortable sofas and armchairs around the feature fireplace with wood-burning stove. To the other end of the room is a traditional dining area, comfortably seating 8, beside an inglenook fireplace with wood burner...

Through the dining room you enter a large country kitchen, complete with a 4 oven Aga (and electric double oven!), breakfast area and utility room. Appliances include a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezer, 2nd fridge, microwave, food mixer & filter coffee machine.

From the kitchen, patio doors lead out to a sunny garden with stunning views over Glenshee. The garden is mainly laid to lawn, fully enclosed and not overlooked. There is a traditional summer house to enjoy the views on slightly cooler or breezier days. The back garden fencing is dog friendly for medium to large dogs, while the south-facing garden to the front of the house is again fully enclosed, laid to lawn and ‘small dog friendly’. The private hot tub is perfectly positioned in the back garden to enjoy the mountain views, along with easy access to the house.

Upstairs, the galleried landing with double height ceiling leads to 3 large bedrooms:

- the dual aspect king-sized master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and window seat
- the twin bedroom also has a vaulted ceiling and window seat, with views to the south
- the triple-aspect family bedroom sleeps 4 with a king-size bed and 2 single beds, under a combed ceiling

Bathroom 1 is located between the master and twin bedrooms and has a bath with shower over, wash basin and wc

Bathroom 2 is located between the twin and family room and has a large rainfall shower, wash basin and wc.

There is under-floor heating throughout the house.

To the front of the house there is ample parking for 4 cars.

The Silver Birch Treehouse is accessed through a private wall of logs then down a fairy-light lit track surrounded by silver birch and hazel trees

Similar in layout and facilities to the Scots Pine Treehouse, but with some fun additions, including a bathroom bubble wall and extended decking area.

180^o of floor to ceiling windows make the most of the stunning views in the living area and patio doors open out onto the wrap-around deck with outside dining area.

The private hot-tub is accessed via a spiral staircase from the deck, then through an arched hedge-way, into a secluded spot to enjoy the amazing views.

Shepherd's View

Experience a romantic break away at our brand new, traditional but luxurious, Shepherd’s View shepherds hut with its very own private hot tub, fully equipped kitchen, en-suite shower room, comfortable sofa and wood-burner for cosy nights in!

Sleeping 2, Shepherd’s View is our bespoke designed shepherds hut, situated in an elevated position giving beautiful views to the south and east across the neighbouring farmland, Blackwater River and the hills of Glenshee. Shepherd’s View is also next to our large pond which is teeming with wildlife and attracts a large number of birds.

Shepherd’s View (which at 22ft x 8ft is slightly larger than most) has a double bed with luxury mattress, en-suite shower-room with electric shower, loo and wash-basin, fold-away dining ledge & stools, snuggle sofa, freesat TV, electric heating and a wood burner for romantic evenings. The perfectly formed kitchen area includes a built-in combination oven/microwave, standard size fridge with small freezer compartment, induction hob, kettle and toaster, as well as a good selection of cooking and dining equipment.

Outside, Shepherd’s View is surrounded by its own private garden area with a hot tub for 2, Weber charcoal BBQ, comfy seating and a picnic bench for alfresco dining. There is private parking for 1 car immediately behind the shepherds hut.

'The Coo Shed' is over 200 years old and was the original cow shed.

Now The Coo Shed offers a stylish, comfortable self catering holiday experience with a traditional twist. There are lots of character features including exposed stone walls, coombed ceilings, slate flagstones, warmed by underfloor heating throughout.

Perched on the hillside in Perthshire, the holiday cottage has spectacular views from all rooms and the garden, across Glenshee to Mount Blair. Large patio doors open up from the spacious living room onto a raised deck area and then down to a lawned garden with a 5 person hot-tub.

On colder days, light the log burning stove, with complimentary logs, and relax in comfortable sofas keeping an eye out for friendly visitors in the garden including red squirrels, pine martens, stoats, roe deer and a multitude of birds.

The holiday cottage, which sleeps four, has a spacious king size master bedroom with large en-suite shower-room, as well as a twin bedded room and a main bathroom with bath and shower. We supply all towels and bedding, including large fluffy white bath sheets in the bedrooms, additional towels for use outside with the hot-tub, and bath-robes.

The large open plan kitchen and dining area is very well equipped, including: dishwasher, washing machine, double oven and hob, microwave, coffee machine, Denby dinner service and many other items. We have tried to ensure that the kitchen has everything you could need for you to stay in and 'self-cater'

The Coo Shed at Dalnoid, uses geo-thermal heating and ground source heat pumps which provide constant underfloor heating and hot water during your stay. Heating is supplemented by the log burning stove for which free logs and kindling are provided within the cost of your holiday.

The cottage is laid out on one level, with no internal steps, making it suitable for guests with mobility difficulties. In addition there are grab rails in the main family bathroom above the bath and beside the toilet.

Well-behaved pets are welcome by prior agreement in the family cottages at Dalnoid - The Coo Shed is particularly dog friendly with rustic slate flagstones throughout inside and a large lawned and securely fenced garden to the rear.

The Groose Hoose is equipped to a high 4 star standard

Offering a stylish and comfortable self-catering experience. As you step inside the open plan living area you will be struck by the light and spacious accommodation. Within the living room area you can relax on comfy sofas in front of a large wood burning stove and look out on some of the finest scenery and wildlife in Glenshee and Highland Perthshire.

The Groose Hoose at Dalnoid has spectacular views across Glenshee to Mount Blair, with large glass patio doors opening from the spacious living space onto a large raised deck area and steps down to the Hot Tub and lawned garden, for you to enjoy the outdoors.

Smiddy Cottage was originally the blacksmiths in the area

But is now a well-appointed family holiday cottage, with stunning views across Glenshee, Perthshire to the hills and forests.

Smiddy Cottage has many traditional features including 2ft thick stone walls and some exposed wooden beams. Tastefully decorated throughout, the cottage comprises:

An open plan living area with modern kitchen, including: electric oven & hob, coffee machine, microwave, fridge, freezer and breakfast bar, dishwasher & washing machine.

The lounge has comfortable sofas and armchairs and a wood-burning stove.

There are 2 bedrooms - a spacious king sized master and a twin bedroom. The family bathroom has a bath and separate shower.

All bedding and towels are provided, including additional towels for use at the hot-tub and bath robes

The cottage has a private. enclosed garden with hot-tub, which overlooks a large pond and has stunning views across Glenshee.

Holiday Cottages

Conveniently situated in Kirkmichael village at the centre of the local path network and with the village shop/cafe and pub/restaurant just down the street this is the perfect location to leave the car in its private parking bay, enjoy village life, explore the Highland countryside on foot or fish for trout in the river.

Alternatively being in the geographical centre of Scotland the three roads leading out of Kirkmichael make our cottages the perfect base for touring.

Tasteful conversions of one of the original village shops and the historic old bakehouse they are personally supervised by the resident owners.

Self-catering Apartments

Lovingly converted from a historic coaching inn, the 4 self-contained apartments combine character, charm and comfort and each has a fully-equipped kitchen. They can be booked individually and also combined for groups of up to 20 guests. The layout comprises:

Hostel group accommodation

Gulabin Lodge offers self-catering accommodation for up to 35 people and is ideal for larger gatherings of family and friends. Gulabin House is a modern, spacious, high specification holiday let that accommodates 12 people across five bedrooms.

Outdoor Centre & Lodge

As the longest established Christian Outdoor Centre in Scotland we offer accommodation and activity packages to schools, groups, families and individuals. The Coach House offers self-catering accommodation in three self-contained units, each of which can accommodate up to four people. All units have been refurbished in 2011; they are all ensuite and have a kitchen area. Coach House guests have access to the Centre's sports and games facilities and meals can be provided in the Main House. Our Main House is a fully renovated Edwardian hunting lodge which can accommodate up to 54 guests in comfortably furnished dormitory-style rooms, ranging in size from 2 to 8 beds, some en-suite. There are two generously sized lounges, one with multi-media resources and a log fireplace. Guests are catered for by a team of experienced staff members who provide cooked breakfast, packed lunch/soup and sandwich lunch, two course dinner and supper with home baking. Play a round of golf on our 9 hole Highland course.

As a sporting estate, we offer walked up grouse and stalking, although we are currently fully booked for stalking and grouse for the foreseeable future.

Ideally, we are situated only 6 miles from Glenshee Ski Centre for snow sports enthusiasts.

A great space for family and friends whether your walking, relaxing or soaking in the tub after a hard days skiing, sight seeing or hillwalking.

Dalnaglar Castle

Dalnaglar Castle is set on a beautiful naturally elevated site in the heart of Glenshee overlooking the Shee Water. It sits within it’s own private grounds on the 200 acres estate and is now available for exclusive hire for families, groups and businesses.
